In the final part of our interview with Author, Mathematician and Educator Paul Lockhart, we investigate the origins of his most recent book, "The Mending of Broken Bones, a Modern Guide to Classical Algebra," due to be published May 13, 2025. Lockhart describes the differences between this book and his previous ones, "Measurement," "Arithmetic," and "A Mathematician's Lament," and the hopes he has for mathematics education in the future.
