Scratch that. Reverse it.
My brain chimes in
Well, my brain had something to say about my idea last night.
I had a dream that I was watching the fall of Tolkein’s Shire into fascism. I saw it all happening systematically and clearly. The removal of decoration from hallways and clothing. The pressuring of people constantly to overperform.
And I knew that once the business-phase of the fascism was over, the part where people THINK they can make it if they just work hard enough, a much more brutal, Morgoth-type world was coming that would eventually fail under the weight of its own evil.
I tend to use my dreams to interpret the direction of my life. Guess what I think this one means?
Forcing myself to journal or write every day, at this time, is a mistake. I tend to agree. Pushing past the boundaries of my mind to crank out a few novels may work, but it will damage me.
So I’m not going to do that.
Whether I want to continue to journal to you about my process is another matter. I wonder if it interests you?
