Last Chance to Hear Empty Chairs

Dear Musicfriends and Adam Cole Watchers,

I get song ideas in little bursts, sometimes in dreams, and I write them down. Later I try to make full songs out of the fragments. Sometimes I combine several bursts to make a single song.

Once a song is at a finished stage, I’ll record a demo of it to see how it sounds. Usually I’ll put ten songs up on my website to listen to them before sending them to the copyright office. If a song doesn’t sound good, I’ll either improve the recording or the song until I have something I like.

I have a collection ready to go: “Empty Chairs.” These are rough piano and voice (or guitar and voice) demos which I find capture the spirit of what I was intending. They’ll be up on my website at https://acole.net/album/3162075/empty-chairs for about a week before I register them (and remove them to replace them with the NEW songs I just wrote over Thanksgiving!)

I may release some or all of them publicly, or they may just go into the vault forever, so if you want to hear them, now’s the time!

I realize listening to demos isn’t for everyone. I’m always happy to hear your thoughts on my music, so if you like hearing works in progress and you have comments, could you please send them my way?
